While we strive to provide accurate and real-time engagement statistics, certain factors beyond our control may affect data consistency.
Contest results are determined based on system calculations and are final.
Participants engage in contests at their own discretion, and Like My Share assumes no liability for any losses.
Social share and engagement counts displayed on our platform are retrieved from third-party APIs such as SharedCount and Social Media Graph APIs. These services may experience data refresh delays, caching effects, or API limitations, resulting in temporary fluctuations in displayed numbers.
🔎 Why Might Engagement Data Change?
-
1️⃣
Cache Delays: Some social media platforms cache engagement data, meaning a share or like might take time to appear.
-
2️⃣
URL Variations & Tracking Parameters: Engagement counts may be split across versions of the same URL due to variations like
www.
vs. non-www or parameters such asutm_source
andfbclid
. -
3️⃣
API Rate Limits & Platform Updates: Some platforms impose access restrictions, causing occasional resets or temporary inconsistencies in displayed engagement data.
📌 Sample Example of Data Fluctuation:
Suppose your contest post shows 35 likes in one sync cycle, but after the next sync, it drops to 1 like. This can happen if:
- ✔ Social media platforms temporarily cache engagement data before updating.
- ✔ The API counts shares and likes separately for different URL variations.
- ✔ Some engagements are filtered out due to privacy settings or content visibility changes.
This is a normal behavior, and the numbers should stabilize over time as the APIs refresh.
📢 What If You Notice a Huge Difference in Your Data?
If you observe a significant difference between your actual engagement numbers and what is displayed on our platform, we encourage you to reach out to our support team. Our team will manually verify your records and investigate potential discrepancies.
📌 Please note that actual engagement figures on social media platforms may differ from the values displayed here due to the above factors.
